Alice could see, as well as if she were looking over their shoulders, that all the jurors were writing down \u2018stupid things!\u2019 on their slates, and she could even make out that one of them didn\u2019t know how to spell \u2018stupid,\u2019 and that he had to ask his neighbour to tell him. \u2018A nice muddle their slates\u2019ll be in before the trial\u2019s over!\u2019 thought Alice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
